Our family had the divine pleasure of Jo’s warm personality and delicious homemade cooking during our holiday stay in Queenstown, NZ. In no exaggeration she was a critical factor that made our trip and experience highly memorable.
From August 30th – September 4th she came in daily to prepare dinner for the same night and lunch for the following day. She always had a smile, had impeccable timing, was extremely professional, had a knack for being present without intruding on personal space and made our airbnb rental feel like our home away from home. Jo is very flexible and caters to any and all needs seamlessly. For us she pre-planned a menu for the duration of our stay and submitted it to us in advance for our approval. Jo did all the shopping, was very mindful not to waste, prepared and served the meals and always cleaned up before she left. She thoughtfully, and without being asked, came up with ideas to stimulate an interest in food making for my two young girls. And because one of our daughters has multiple food allergies she came up with amazingly delicious and creative meals that were safe and enjoyed by all.
Now, months later, we still think of and remember Jo so fondly. We wish we could have brought her back home with us!!! I can wholeheartedly say without any doubt that she will amaze even the most discerning client and be the best decision you ever made. The world needs more Jo Keppels.

Deciding on going to Queenstown for my 60th birthday was easy, but to find a restaurant who catered for my strict dietary requirements was impossible until Jo Keppel was recommended by our Airbnb host. From start to finish Jo has been extremely helpful, professional, along with communication for several weeks via email to create the most amazing menu for 13 guests who all had very different food preferences as well as dietary requirements and intolerances. I am sure this was no easy task.
It was wonderful to finally meet Jo on the day & it was such a treat to have her there to cater for us all & make the day extra special. Everyone loved the food and it was a huge hit especially the raw chocolate chilli tart. I personally loved the Puy & buluga lentil salad with fresh figs.
I can highly recommend Jo for home cooked, healthy, delicious food for any occasion. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Jo & hopefully we can book you in on our next trip to Queenstown. I will recommend you to anyone I know who will be travelling to Queenstown.

Jo Keppel is a master chef. We often use the services of private chefs while at home in California, as well as, during our travels. Jo is by far and away the most talented professional. She is very creative, cooking what is in season, working with my family’s food preferences and issues (I’m gluten free and my daughter is vegan) making a variety of dishes overnight to satisfy everyone’s needs and palates.
Jo truly loves what she does and it shows. She always wanted to make sure when it came to our meals, everyone was delighted, from my husband the carnivore to our grandkids who like simple preparations. Needless to say, there was always lots of variety and the leftovers were enjoyed for lunch the following day.
I truly cannot say enough about her. She is a joy to work with and a gifted chef.
I only wish she lived in California!

Between our finickity eaters and dietary restrictions, we were not an easy party, but you provided us with the most splendid culinary experience of our week-long stay in the Queenstown area.
